On December 5th LUSU involve hosted a Christmas Party for a group of 60 local elderly residents in association with the LUSU involve SAFE project.
Guests were provided with free transportation, a hot pot lunch and at least a litre of tea each! The entertainment came from number student societies who kindly donated their time to show off their talents. There where fantastic performances from the Music society Big band, The Gospel choir, and LU Dance. Safe project volunteers provide additional entertainment through a Christmas quiz, Bingo and even a Beetle drive! A big thank you to all involved!
The SAFE project works with Lancashire constabulary to reduce the occurrence of doorstep crime against local older residents. It is LUSU involves longest running project and unique amongst student volunteering organisations.
